URBAN LEGENDS LIST

Here will be a compilation of Urban Legends, their locations, and cited sources. To ascertain a hold on my A.D.D., I have also helped you all with sever LD’s by placing this in alphabetical order. Moreover, this list will be updated as research is formed.

A

The Amityville Horror

  • Legend Summary:In November of 1972, Ronald Defeo murdered his whole family with a rifle. When questioned, he attested to being taken over by evil spirits (the spirits range from a Salem witch all the way to the island’s ancestrial Indians). The year following, a man named George Lutz, along with his wife, Kathy Lutz moved into the house. They claimed that the house was haunted and that too many scary things had happen. They claimed of black gunk oozing out of toilets, and the like. As our research has revealed, George Lutz was a physical spitting image of Ronald Defeo.
  • Location: 112 Ocean Ave., Amityville, Long Island, New York (the number is said to have been changed, so don’t go crazy looking for it!)
  • Security/Trespassing Laws: We are guessing this being a private residence, that any applicable trespassing/private property New York laws are enforced strongly.

B

Bunnyman/Bunnyman Bridge

    • Legend Summary: This is an area in Northern Virginia that is said to house the following tale: An escaped convict (or mental patient, both stories have floated into my hands by locals) in the 70’s was making the woods his home with another escapee. For one reason or another, he killed his cohort along with school kids who went to the bridge at night to party. He is said to be wearing a bunny Halloween costume. Many have claimed, that they feel a presence while visiting the area. Others, believe that it’s a nice place to get pie-eyed with some hotties from school.
    • Location: Fairfax County, Northern Virginia (we think Clifton)
    • Security/Trespassing Laws: For those interested, I highly advise you not too. Cameras are currently lacing the bridge, and Fairfax County police patrol the area avidly (according to a well-trusted friend).
